Sadness Leads to Gain

(( Title from Don't Be So Cold. And just to make sure: this has spoilers for the Stonetalon Mountains Horde quest chains. ))

 

"I would like you all to imagine, if you would, a forest. Take a moment to picture it in your mind.

 

 

Within this forest, there are tall, mighty trees.

 

Their roots run deep. Their branches block out the sun.

 

They stand sentinel for eons. Longer than any mortal lifespan may know.

 

What happens, when the deep roots no longer find water? When the earth is no longer soft and forgiving that they may grow anew?

 

Do these ancient beings die?

 

Some do. It is the cycle of life.

 

Their boles fall and decay, leaving dried timber for our homes. Homes for small animals that burrow deep.

 

The others, the ones that do not fall, they take in the hard earth that does not move for them. Where others die, they take on new life.

 

One with the earth. One with the stone.

 

 

We must take in the stone, and give our spirits new life."
