I woke yesterday aching and confused. It wasn’t until I had lain there a moment, listening to the sounds of the city, that I remembered I was in Orgimmar, not Thunder Bluff. And that out of sheer exhaustion, I had fallen asleep in my armour, much of it still stiff and new, obtained in the city of Stratholme.

The city still burns, taken over now by the dead and the lost. Zog laid a claim on the city, and I told him living there would be lonely, but I think it’d be worse than that. Stratholme feels like it’s haunted my more than just the spectres who walk its streets, and that pain hangs in the air thicker than smoke. I wouldn’t want to live there, not now.

I’m glad I went, though. Even if the night ended on a… well, I don’t really know what to call that, actually.

I finally met Tabaqui’s Olm, who is a Knight. A Forsaken Knight, interesting thought. It was also the first time I’d fought beside any other Forsaken, really, and… they eat bodies. I don’t know why it surprised me, I’m sure I’ve heard it mentioned, but… I guess I didn’t really think it was true, just more misconceptions about the “deaders”. I thought maybe it disurbed Olm as much as it did me, but… I guess, maybe, no, I am the strange one.

Could they tell? I was struck down more than a few times in that sad place, and called back. I never applied myself enough to learn that power, so I have no idea what they see or sense when they call a spirit back. Jessa or Zog, I think I would be safe with them knowing, but, Doctor Vines…

I watched him take one of Tabaqui’s pains and use his words to drive a dagger right into that weak spot. When he saw it hit home, not only in her but in Olm, he just twisted it. They fought, Olm and the Doctor, one with fists the other still with words, and I don’t understand why it started. Tabaqui was saying something about there being two different doctors, and it’d be easy to think of the man I saw there being different than the one I’d met at the Zhevra, or heard give the lecture at the Priests’ Convention.

I do not think the one I saw in Stratholme can be trusted with painful secrets. In the end, I think his strikes were more damaging than Olm’s. Though I think Tabaqui got in one of her own, right before we left. I didn’t get to hear it, but the Doctor left afterwards, telling her never to ask for his help again. Confusing, confusing, confusing.

And that wasn’t the only conversation I only caught the end of that night. Before we left, apparently something’s wrong with Tundrarunner, enough that Jessa and Tabaqui are both worried about him. That’s of concern, but, well, I wish I’d heard more. I wish there was some way I could help, but it also didn’t sound like anyone was having luck in that department.

So much going on, it’s hard to follow from the sidelines.
