Unexpected Motivation

I think I’m in shock. I know, of course, that it’s possible, but I’ve never thought that a curse of my casting would be strong enough to actually succeed.
A Doomguard, loose and furious. Fortunately subdued quickly quickly, but it took us all by surprise. Most especially myself.
“You toss around demons and say oops?”
“Nice trick. Do it again.”
“He is a warlock.”
“It hasn't done that before.”
Why now? Damn it, I was supposed to be stepping back from this, but it looks like I’ll have to take at least one step forward.
Undel said the ceremony requires a sacrifice. I may have to ask that of my friends. There have to be precautions we can take… I need to talk to Gaark, and think about this.
Because accidents like that, aren’t exactly acceptable.
