"It's a game," she smirks. Well, that promises to be at the very least interesting, but without a doubt time consuming.
"Is it best man wins?" Rel answers. Figures the answer to that is him, I suppose. It's almost cute.
"We'll see. And Ananke, you don't have to come if it interrupts your important schedule of sitting on your ass."
Right, sitting is the most enjoyable thing I can think of to do with my ass. But I'll listen, and Rel's putting his book away so I guess he will too.
Blah, blah, Dalaran, blah, blah, attacking Sin'dorei, blah, blah, ungrateful wretches, blah, blah, let's go punish them. Or something like that, I should probably be paying attention.
"Am I right in assuming your plan," Rel asks, looking at Tally's tacky fist weapons.
"Why don't you tell me what you're thinking," she asks, almost pleasantly.
"If you two are in agreement, it's bound to be messy." Really, dealing with all the bodies, someone has to clean it up, but at least it isn't me.
"You can do as you like." she's already saying," but if bodies start turning up after we arrive it will tip the game early, don't you think?" I'm almost surprised, but "Once we're ready to leave, however..." Yup, there we go.
I miss what Rel says in agreement when he tosses one of the robes Tally brought over my head. The white one, of course. Maybe he has a better sense of irony than I thought.
Tally's already grabbing one of the others and going off to change; Rel's holding his looking at it.
"She's going to want to leave right away, isn't she?" Well, there go my plans for the night. I start making a list as I head off to my own area to change. More than a few regrets to send. I think Rel's saying something depressingly fatalistic about our race, but I'm really more concerned with whether or not to cancel this particular appointment...
No, really, I absolutely cannot cancel the hairstylist. Tally and Rel will just have to wait or go ahead and let me catch up. The second actually appeals to me. It will give them a head start in the game, but it also increases my chances of getting there after the hard part's been taken care of. Hmm, yes that's sounding better all the time.
