The Reason of the Thing

There are no coincidences. Now, don’t get me wrong. I ain’t sayin’ we’re all runnin’ towards an unchangeable outcome like herded cattle. That ain’t it at all. But there are forces and spirits that nudge our paths in certain directions and towards certain people. Connections are made, and some of those tie ya up so tight ya can’t help but find ‘em again, for good or for ill.

Even More Than Pain

She thought it was like being in a box.
